Meet Pickles, the most recent addition to our family. Earlier this week we went with my Mom to a pet store so she could get a carrier for her new dog to come from Alberta. We walked out with that and Pickles, Camia's new friend. Since I was not too crazy about the idea of getting a pet, I opted for the easiest pet to care for. No filters to clean, no heaters, just water and a tank. And a fish.

Solids!!
While chatting with my mom and not paying attention to Caleb, he reached over the sides of his Bumbo and grabbed a bun from the basket my mom had just filled. While he chowed down on it, we got the cameras. Caleb got his first taste of a fresh home made bun. And I am pretty sure he liked it.
A couple days later while Mom was over, she gave him some applesauce. He had 2 spoon fulls and between the wrinkled faces, he enjoyed that too.
Family Day
While Camia swam like a fish, I got to watch from the side with Mr Man sitting beside me. He was a champ. He was quite taken with the noise and constant movement going on all around him.
He even fell asleep for a little while!
Since I considered it too much effort to get me dressed and him dressed for swimming only to be done and changing again 15 minutes later, I just dipped his feet in the water as the water from the waves lapped the pool deck. Too bad I didn't get any photo's of it, he seemed to enjoy it while it lasted.

Sunday Morning
Camia got a new dress for the spring and summer a couple weeks ago and has been itching to wear it. This morning, with the sun shining brightly and temperatures of almost 7 degrees, I caved and let her wear it. For the 'occasion', I also braided and curled her hair to go with her pretty dress. And then I just felt compelled to take some photo's.
A New Cousin!
This morning our extended family grew yet again with another beautiful blessing from God. Teagan Joel arrived this morning just before church! I was so excited that a baby boy had been born, a playmate and friend for Caleb.
Caleb and Teagan, 5 months and 4 days apart. Caleb showed no interest in the baby, but instead had eyes for his Aunt.
So we called Camia to come stand by Dad so Caleb would look at the camera - somewhat - instead of to his right. We even got a smile! :)
Checking out Baby Teagan.
I suppose now that the baby is finally here I can finish the quilt I made for him...

Cookies!
For Valentines Camia requested that we make cookies for her friends. The recipe I used made so many cookies that she finished decorating them today.
There may or may not have been some Christmas cookies in the mix. She was not satisfied with doing just hearts, and we missed out on making Christmas sugar cookies.
Mill Lake
After Caleb's nap yesterday we packed up, packed a picnic lunch and headed to the park. Caleb sat in the stroller for the first time, which was very short lived.
He sat in a swing for the first time, which he loved. He sat in in swinging for about 20 minutes or so.
This picture makes me laugh. Caleb and Troy, 7 months apart. I love how Caleb is almost hidden in the swing.
The girls are at such a fun age right now! Camia loves to take her bike or scooter to the park or on walks now.
It was cold and we did not dress accordingly.
After having a fussy period (because he was tired). Snuggled in a warm blanket right before he fell asleep for a wee nap. He was such a champ despite having cold fingers. I think I might brave taking him out again soon.
