Santa

As is every year, Ryan's work once again put on a Christmas breakfast for the significant others and their families this year. Camia was waiting for it all. year. long. Pretty much every time we dropped Ryan off at work, she asked to see Santa in the gym (Ryan's work built a gym in their new building, and the breakfast is held above it every year). In previous years, they had breakfast and then Santa with a balloon tying person and a bouncy castle. This year was better. They had Dora (who is not my favourite character, and Camia is not allowed to watch, but still catches at friends houses)
and Elmo.
They also had crafts for the kids to do, which I don't have photos of, but they were ornaments that hung on my tree, which I also don't have a photo of since I took it down today. And of course there were Santa and Mrs Clause.
For the first time, Camia went to go sit with them and told them that she wanted a purse for Christmas. This turned into a laughing matter since Santa was sure he heard that she wanted Coach for Christmas. Instead of a purse, she got a princess kit, which had a colouring book and stickers. It kept her busy for a little while.

Baby Chicks

Friends of ours recently purchased a farm and built a chicken barn on it where they housed over 10,000 little yellow fur balls. Of course we had to go check it out. Such cute little peepers!

Trick or Treat!

Another fun thing that we did this year (or last...my intention was to have all of last year blogged before ringing in the new year, but that was not to be.) with Camia was trick or treating. She wanted to go as Cinderella, so that is how she went. She couldn't have been more excited, I think. She caught onto the idea pretty quickly and was so proud of herself when she went all by herself to the doors. She was so sweet, ringing bells, sweetly saying 'trick or treat' and then whispering'thank you'. Many people commented on her sweetness as there were a few rowdy kids who yelled and screamed and ran door to door without saying thank you at all. Camia almost got pushed down a few times, but still had a blast.

After trick or treating, she climbed into the drives seat with her dad and got to drive down my parents road with him. She was so proud of her self for that too. :)

Artsy Crafty

Camia loves to do crafts. Over the years I have been collecting crafts supplies for children and am excited that she is at the age where she can start doing them. One day in October we made a boat out of newspaper. She decorated it and then we took it upstairs to the tub to go sailing. Though it did not last long, it was still a fun adventure.

Another thing she loves to do is painting. It took her a while to convince her that finger painting is kinda cool, and once she decided that believing me was a good idea, she wasted no time in getting covered in paint.
She also loves glueing. So, I covered some corn kernels with paint and let her glue them to the papers. We also made a trip to the dollar store and picked out some sequins and cut coloured construction paper into bits for her to glue on as well.

Pumpkin Patch

This year (well, I guess now it's technically last year...) we headed to the Apple Barn pumpkin
patch. Camia of course had a blast, and loved checking out all the animals in the petting barn
She was thrilled to see Mater from 'Cars'And picking out a pumpkin is always fun tooThis face makes me laugh.
Of course we had to get a picture with all the pumpkinsWe went on a hay ride to another pumpkin patchwhere we found her take-home pumpkinThere were a couple of play areas, and with the amount of people, I was surprised to find one where there were no kids. There were horse tire swingsAnd a bouncy castle that Camia and her friends had all to themselves.
