This year my mom had really been looking forward to taking Camia to the PNE and spoiling her with popcorn, cotton candy and all that other lovely fair food. So on a wet Tuesday we headed to Vancouver to take in the sights of the PNE which was celebrating their 100th year as an existing fair. Camia loved the merri-go-round and since it was raining and there weren't very many people, the operator let Camia have 1 free ride and the other 2 were for longer periods of time.
There was also an activity center where Camia could be a farmer
and collect eggs,
milk a cow,
plant a garden, harvest her veggies, pick apples, get wool from her sheep and honey from her bees as well as drive a tractor.
After her 'day' at the farm, she could bring her bucket to the market and get a fake dollar by 'selling' the fruits of her labour to buy a chocolate milk from the store. It was nice to have this option since Camia could walk around and get out of her stroller because when we were outside she had to be covered as it was raining all day. Instead of trying to battle traffic going into and coming out of Vancouver, Mom and I parked the car in Surrey and took the skytrain and from there took the bus to the PNE. It was great. The bus drove us straight to the front doors and was ready to go back when we were, so we had no waits either.
