A Few Things..

So, someone just recently told me that I need to update my blog. I see that the last post was more than a week ago. Hmm. Someone is slacking. Either it's me in that I haven't taken the time out of my busy (haha) schedule or its the some people who have the time to check my blog more often than I do. Just kidding. Things have been happening. How can they not, with a busy 21 month old running around and a mom who is trigger happy on the camera? I've started working at the greenhouse again with my Mom and my first day back was Tuesday last week. It ended in a not so well state of me having to go home at lunch ill to my stomach. I slept all afternoon (well tried to) after taking a long hot bath. I was sick on Wednesday and felt gross on Thursday. By Friday I felt like I was picking up my toes when I walked. Who knew that in those few days a house could wind up in such a sad state of affairs?? I spent Friday night and since Ryan worked on Saturday I spent all day Saturday cleaning, organizing, purging and cutting up veggies for my freezer. Oh, and using my lovely new Kitchen Aid I got from Ryan and my parents for valentines, my birthday and our anniversary. Here are a few photo's to count for the week gone by:

Camia discovered windows and how to make them dirty in a quick hurry:

She discovered feeding herself. Yogurt is the only thing of foods that require a spoon I let her feed herself. She's actually pretty good at it.
She also discovered a good use for an empty box. She's sitting in it with her baby.
This baby, for which I am sewing a dress. A dress with some major ruffle on it. I tell you...this is going to be one fancy pants dress! When finished it will have not only puffed sleeves, skookum ruffles and lace trim, but it will have a petticoat and bloomers too. I thought of adding some stuff under the skirt to make it more poofy, but once considering the work it involved and the fact that it was a doll, I decided against it.
And Ryan brought me home some lovely flowers. For valentines, he said.
And for fun last Sunday, I decided to try french braiding Camia's hair.
My brother gave me an ipod after he purchased a new one, and Camia gave it a try:
And it's not for nothing that when they say it rains it also pours. Such was the case this past Friday. It just came down in sheets! I decided that it was a soup day.

Yesterday while I was in the purging mood, I gave Camia the sidewalk chalk I had purchased last summer from a dollar store. She loves being outside and since I was in the front 'yard', I felt the need to distract her from running into the parking lot. This kept her busy for quite some time. Now I also have a nicely coloured front walk :).

And one last thing before I go check on my baking dinner. The start of an orchestra. She discovered a pan and a spoon. With my help. I thought it would be cute. My ears fail to agree with me.

Potty training goes well. I cannot say that she is 100% trained because there is still the occasional accident here and there, but she usually wakes up in the mornings dry! When we are at home she is in big girl underpants. I don't quite trust her just yet to stay dry when we go out, so then she is in pull ups. She almost always surprises me by staying dry.
